We took the store offline.
We'll be back, better and safer.
We heard the community, and you were right to ask hard questions.
What happened
Omarchy Store grew faster than we expected while we were still testing. As more people took a close look, they raised real concerns about how parts of the store work, including how the installer and update hook handle permissions.
We take that seriously. Rather than leave anything open while we sort it out, we shut the store down ourselves.
What we're doing
- Removing anything that runs with elevated permissions without you being in the loop.
- Rebuilding installs so you always see what is happening and approve it yourself.
- Reviewing every listing, link and download before anything goes back up.
- Making it clear that Omarchy Store is an independent community project, not affiliated with Omarchy, the Omacom Foundation or 37signals. The official plugin marketplace is plugins.omarchy.org.
Already installed the Omarchy Store desktop app?
You can remove it and its post-update hook at any time:
omarchy-store --uninstall rm -f ~/.config/omarchy/hooks/post-update.d/omarchy-store-post-update.hook
Apps you installed through the store can be removed with sudo pacman -Rns <package>.
